Established in 1986 MS Nepal is the youngest Country Program under Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (Danish Association for International Cooperation).The MS Nepal program is one of the nine MS programs and so far the only one in Asia.
Currently MS is in the process of building a focus on democracy world wide. From 2008 MS Nepal works with the following democracy themes:- Building local democracy: Strengthening the political representation of the poor and marginalised, women and youth. And strengthening good local governance.- Land Rights: Mainly assisting former debt slaves in achieving titles to land.- Conflict management and peace building.
